Description
PPG Aerospace® PR-1440 B-2 Fuel Tank Sealant is a two-part formula that is resistant to most types of alcohol, aviation fuel, oils and water. The durable sealant is used for fillet sealing and other sealing applications inside of the fuel tank. Use PPG Aerospace® PR-1440 B-2 Fuel Tank Sealant when you need to ensure a leak-free finish that will last. The two-part sealant is sold in a pint-size kit, with pre-measured components for easy mixing. Once mixed, PPG Aerospace® PR-1440 B-2 Fuel Tank Sealant is a thixotropic paste that can be applied via an extrusion gun or spatula, as desired. The aircraft sealant cures at room temperature and has a wide service temperature range of -65ºF (-54ºC) to 250ºF (121ºC) with the ability to withstand intermittent exposure to higher temperatures. Pint-size kits are sold individually, but volume discounts are available on qualifying bulk orders of sealant. The sealant is gray and the cured material exhibits excellent adhesion to most common aircraft substrates.
