High-strength, precision alloy steel hex head shear bolt (PN: NAS6206-20D) built to National Aerospace Standards. Features an extended, precision-ground unthreaded grip length designed to take high critical shear loads in structural airframe assemblies. Features a pre-drilled cross hole through the threaded end for positive locking security via a cotter pin or safety wire. Formulated with a corrosion-resistant plating and encased in red protective plastic mesh netting to safeguard the critical tolerances of the shank surface before installation.
