The NAS1080-08 is a high-strength swage-locking lockbolt collar precision-manufactured from 2024-T4 aluminum alloy to secure permanent structural aircraft assemblies. Designed for installation over a nominal 0.250-inch (1/4") diameter pull-type or stump-type lockbolt pin, this tension-type configural collar is hydraulically swaged into the pin’s locking grooves to create a vibration-resistant joint. It features a chemical-resistant green anodized finish according to MIL-A-8625 Type II specifications and is pre-lubricated with cetyl alcohol to lower friction coefficients during the high-pressure swaging application.
