High-reliability insulated closed-end spare wire cap splice engineered for circuit insulation within difficult aerospace and industrial harness environments. Part of the TE Connectivity/AMP PIDG series, constructed with a precision-formed tin-plated copper barrel encased inside a transparent natural nylon (polyamide) insulation sleeve. Designed for unstripped or stripped wire termination accommodating wire insulation diameters ranging from 0.048 inches to 0.075 inches (1.22 mm to 1.91 mm). Incorporates structural internal barrel serrations ensuring maximum contact stability and uniform wire retention grip under standard terminal crimping die pressures.
